How do I participate in SpideRider?

  • Simply record yourself doing your talent and submit the video clip on the Yellobus web portal: www.yellob.us/spiderider
  • All entries must be accompanied with an online form duly filled out; incomplete forms will render the entries disqualified for competition.

 

How will I be judged in SpideRider?

  • All kinds of talent will be considered for this competition. The more registered votes you garnered from visitors to the website, the better your chance of ascending the throne to become the inaugural SpideRider. Nothing can be simpler!

 

What are the important dates in SpideRider?

  • Sept 2009: Press announcement and call for entries officially opens
  • 1 Dec 2009: Official launch of SpideRider
  • 31 Jan 2010: Entries officially closes for competition at 2359hrs Singapore time
  • 4 Feb 2010: Online voting opens for about 2 weeks
  • 19 Feb 2010: Online voting officially closes

 

How many stages are there in SpideRider?

STAGE 1

  • 22 Feb 2010: Top 50 contestants unveiled online
  • These 50 contestants have 5 days starting on 22 Feb to 25 Feb 2010 to upload a new competition clip
  • 27 Feb - 7 March 2010: Voting opens to eliminate 20 contestants from the 50. Voters have these days to vote their favourite idols into the next round
  • 7 March 2010: Voting officially closes at 2359hrs Singapore time
  • Top 30 contestants unveiled on 8 March 2010.

 

STAGE 2

  • 8 March 2010: Top 30 contestants unveiled online
  • These 30 contestants have 8 March to 11 March 2010 to upload a new competition clip
  • 13 - 21 March 2010: Voting opens to eliminate 10 contestants from the 30. Voters have these days to vote their favourite idols into the next round
  • 21 March 2010: Voting officially closes at 2359hrs Singapore time
  • Top 20 contestants unveiled on 22 March 2010.

 

STAGE 3

  • 22 March 2010: Top 20 contestants unveiled online
  • These 20 contestants have from 22 March to 25 March 2010 to upload a new competition clip
  • 27 March - 4 April 2010: Voting opens to eliminate 8 contestants from the 20. Voters have these days to vote their favourite idols into the next round
  • 4 April 2010: Voting officially closes at 2359hrs Singapore time
  • Top 12 contestants unveiled on the 5 April 2010.

 

STAGE 4

  • 5 April 2010: Top 12 contestants unveiled online
  • These 12 contestants have 5 to 8 April 2010 to upload a new competition clip
  • 10 - 25 April 2010: Voting opens to eliminate 6 contestants from the 12. Voters have these days to vote their favourite idols into the next round
  • 25 April 2010: Voting officially closes at 2359hrs Singapore time
  • Top 6 contestants unveiled on the 26 April 2010.

 

STAGE 5

  • 26 April 2010: Top 6 + 2 contestants unveiled online
  • These 6 contestants have 26 to 29 April 2010 to upload a new competition clip
  • 1 - 15 May 2010: Voting opens on these days to vote their favourite idols into the next round
  • 15 May 2010: Voting officially closes at 1200hrs Singapore time

 

STAGE 6

  • 15 May 2010: The Gr8 Showdown at Orchard Central
  • These 8 contestants will perform live in front of SpideRider judges and audiences

 

STAGE 7

  • 17 - 20 May 2010: Top 5 to upload a new competition clip
  • 22 - 30 May 2010: Voting opens on these days to vote their favourite idols into the next round
  • 30 May 2010: Voting officially closes at 1200hrs Singapore time

 

STAGE 8

  • 31 May 2010: Top 4 contestants unveiled online
  • 1 - 3 June 2010: Top 4 to upload a new competition clip
  • 5 - 13 June 2010: Voting opens on these days to vote their favourite idols into the next round
  • 13 June 2010: Voting officially closes at 1200hrs Singapore time

 

STAGE 9

  • 14 June 2010: Top 3 contestants unveiled online
  • 14 - 17 June 2010: Top 3 to upload a new competition clip
  • 19 - 27 June 2010: Voting opens on these days to vote their favourite idols into the next round
  • 27 June 2010: Voting officially closes at 1200hrs Singapore time

 

STAGE 10

  • 28 June 2010: Top 2 contestants unveiled online
  • 29 June - 1 July 2010: Top 2 to upload a new competition clip
  • 3 - 11 July 2010: Voting opens on these days to vote their favourite idols into the next round
  • 11 July 2010: Voting officially closes at 1200hrs Singapore time
  • 12 July: SpideRider winner to be announced
